Between 8am-12pm and 2pm-8pm.
Visiting hours end at 8pm, and doors into the hospital are locked at 8.30pm.
Visitors are very welcome and are wonderful for company and distraction. Patients require lots of rest to recuperate and we ask that visitors observe visiting hours.
Entry and exit after 8.30pm is via Emergency Department only. If you are staying with your child overnight and need to leave the ward, speak to the nursing staff. Visiting hours may vary on some wards, including intensive care units. It is recommended that visitors call the hospital or family in advance to check when it's OK to visit. It's important to minimise patients' exposure to coughs and colds. Families can talk to nursing staff if they need help understanding when it is and isn't a good idea for their child to have visitors. Visitors are welcome to send gifts, but all balloons must be latex free. It's best to check with the staff before sending flowers, as some patients should not have flowers in their room due to hygiene and infection control reasons.
