About Gynaecology

  • We provide a diagnostic and treatment source for paediatric and adolescent gynaecology problems. We offer both inpatient and outpatient care, including a wide range of investigative procedures, specialising in:

    • congenital anomalies
    • period pain problems
    • contraceptive counselling
    • fertility preservation
    • gender services
    • early/late puberty

    It is our aim to provide the very best of care for girls and young women backed up with research and education.

    Young girls and adolescents are referred to the department for advice and care from all areas of Victoria as well as New South Wales,Tasmania and overseas.

    The Department of Gynaecology has ties with the:

    Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology

    ANZSPAG is a society composed of various members of the health care profession who are interested in various aspects of girls' health, including gynaecology and sexuality.

    1. The Royal Children's hospital is teaming up with the Australian MRKH foundation - Sisters For Love for a MRKH get together on the 14th July 2018! 

    Starting at 1pm at the Royal Children's hospital, people with MRKH, their families and the important people in their lives are welcome to attend.

    2. The Royal Children's hospital is teaming up with the Australian turner Syndrome Association for a RCH Turner Syndrome "Linking in and making connections" get together on the 14th July 2018! 

    Starting at 1pm at the Royal Children's hospital, people with Turner Syndrome, their families and the important people in their lives are welcome to attend.
