The provision of written information to parents and young people is important for ensuring that information is understood. Health information fact sheets are useful for learning about medical conditions and/or treatments. They also provide a starting point for further questions that parents and young people might like to ask a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional.
There are several parent resources available in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland:
Kids Health Info Fact Sheets
The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network Fact Sheets
Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service Children’s health fact sheets
