Referrals

  • Given the high volume of referrals we handle, we can only accept patients residing within our designated catchment area. Please refer to the map below to identify the appropriate service for your location.

To refer a patient, please download and complete our external referral form. Once filled out, email the form to screferrals@rch.org.au.

To assist with accurate triaging and allocation, kindly include as much clinical information as possible. Be sure to attach any relevant pathology results or imaging reports already obtained and highlight any social or special circumstances that may affect the urgency of the referral.

After receiving specialist care, patients should return to the referring clinician for ongoing management.

Please note that as a public service, we operate a waitlist system that prioritises patients based on clinical urgency. The wait times can range from 30 to 365 days, depending on the urgency of the case, which is determined by our Senior Urologists during the triage process. If the referral is accepted, the patient will be scheduled for an appointment once they reach the top of their assigned waitlist. Appointment details will then be sent to the family.
