Guide to the RCH

Immunisation Clinic

  • Receiving scheduled vaccinations remains essential, even during the COVID-19 pandemic! The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) has opened its own immunisation ‘drive-through’ vaccination clinic to help support families to still have scheduled vaccinations during COVID-19.

Families are reminded that it is safe to attend your local immunisation service to receive scheduled vaccinations. Here at the RCH, our Immunisation Service team has taken extra precautions and implemented procedures to control risks of and exposure to transmission of COVID-19.

The drive-through immunisation clinic will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm, and is available to patients, families and the community for all scheduled vaccines.

Bookings are mandatory and can be made here.

As part of the COVID-19 visitor screening process, you will be contacted before your appointment and asked a series of health questions.
For more information or if you have any questions, please contact the Immunisation Service team at immunisation.centre@rch.org.au or on 9345 6599.

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Immunisation Drop-in Centre provides a vaccination service to our patients. Where we have availability, we also provide a service to non-patients who drop in without an appointment.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving the flu vaccine and all scheduled vaccines is more important than ever. As The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) continues to implement measures to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients, it is vital that we all do what we can to support these shared goals.  One parent/legal guardian will be allowed entry with the child to be vaccinated unless other agreements have been made with the Immunisation service team.  Visitors will be screened prior to entry and required to answer a series of health questions and receive a temperature check.

Parents or guardians of patients can enter through the Yellow Lifts or main entrance doors on Flemington Road to access the Visitor Assessment Checkpoint.
