  • The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement Counselling and Support Service

    Provides a state-wide specialist bereavement service for individuals, children and families who need assistance following the death of someone close to them. The service offers face-to-face bereavement counselling most of which is office-based, as well as bereavement support programs such as support groups, information resources and remembrance events.

    The Compassionate Friends Victoria

    Dedicated to supporting grieving parents, siblings and grandparents in the event of the death of a child, of any age or from any cause.

    Heart Kids charity

    Dedicated to supporting children, teens and adults affected by Congenital Heart Disease all across Australia. HeartKids has regular state-based meeting and get-together opportunities for bereaved parents facilitated by HeartKids Support teams, with topics decided by those taking part. These groups are an opportunity to connect with others, share experiences and talk about ways to cope.

    Heart Felt Photography

    A volunteer organisation of professional photographers from all over Australia and New Zealand dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature births or have children with serious and terminal illnesses. Heartfelt is dedicated to providing this gift to families in a caring, compassionate manner. All services are provided free of charge.

    Hope Bereavement Care

    A not-for-profit organisation based in Geelong offering free information, support and counselling for families who are grieving the death of a child, the sudden and unexpected death of an adult and those experiencing loss after suicide.

    Miracle Babies Foundation

    An organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them.

    Red Nose Grief and Loss 

    Online and telephone services assists parents and their families dealing with an early pregnancy loss, stillbirth & newborn death or the sudden and unexpected death of an infant or a child.

    Red Kite 

    Offers support services for children and young people (24 and under) with cancer from diagnosis, throughout treatment, and after treatment ends. Red Kite support includes grief and loss counselling and financial assistance.

    ROAD Trauma Support Services Victoria

    Provides counselling and support to people impacted by road trauma, and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education.

    Very Special Kids 

    Cares for children with life-threatening conditions by providing a children’s hospice and professional family support services. They help approximately 900 families across Victoria with ongoing support from diagnosis all the way through to recovery or bereavement each year.
