First aid training

The Safety Centre facilitates first aid courses for the public. The six hour Paediatric Emergency Care course is particularly worthwhile for parents, grandparents, nannies and child care providers.

This course provides participants with an understanding of child injury prevention, basic resucitation and first aid skills. The course meets Children's Services Regulations (r26 S.R. No.59/1998) for first aid training.

The course venue is The Royal Children's Hospital, Parkville, or you may choose your own community venue for groups of more than 10 participants.

Our preferred first aid providers who conduct our courses are from the organisation called Emergcare. We have been working closely with Emergcare for twelve years now.
