Biography for Professor Colin Robertson

  • Professor Colin Robertsongraduated from the University of NSW in 1974. He completed training in general paediatrics at the Adelaide Children's Hospital and trained in paediatric respiratory medicine at King's College Hospital, London and the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. Post-graduate qualifications include: FRACP (1984), MSc (Epidemiology from Harvard University (1991) and MD from the University of NSW (1999)).

    Professor Robertson is a member of the International Steering Committee for the International Study of Asthma and Allergy in Children and is the current principal investigator for the Melbourne Epidemiological study of Childhood Asthma that has monitored the outcome of childhood asthma through adult years. His research interests range from respiratory epidemiology, through respiratory physiology to trials improving the clinical management of paediatric respiratory disorders.
