About Speech Pathology

  • Speech Pathology at the Royal Children's Hospital is one of the departments within Allied Health. Speech Pathologists provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and consultations for infants, children and adolescents with communication and feeding/swallowing difficulties. Speech Pathology is committed to delivering high-quality tertiary speech pathology services, informed by the best available evidence. The Department is located in Allied Health, Specialist Clinic B, Level 1, East Building. 

    Speech Pathology receives referrals from a wide range of health care professionals from within and outside of The Royal Children's Hospital. These include, but are not limited to:

    • Other allied health professionals
    • Doctors
    • Nurses
    • Early childhood workers
    • Teachers
