RCH - Adult Imaging

Please note RCH Medical Imaging is unable to provide imaging to patients over 18 years of age without RCH Executive approval, as per RCH Access Policy.

If your adult patient requires imaging at RCH Medical Imaging, please provide a referral with RCH Executive approval to medical.imaging@rch.org.au

Requests for a supply of patient images

Digital copies of imaging is available upon request. All requests for copies of medical images are to be directed to the Medical Imaging Department, to the attention of the Manager of Clerical Support Services.

The release of medical images to parents/patients/third party etc. requires completion of Medical Imaging Request for Patient Imaging before the images can be released. 

My Health Record notice to patients

The Royal Children's Hospital has been granted an extension of time to upload diagnostic imaging reports and/or pathology reports to My Health Record.
During this extension period until July 2027, some diagnostic imaging reports and/or pathology reports provided by this organisation will be uploaded to My Health Record. However, due to certain limitations, we are not able to upload all reports at this time.

Your results will continue to be sent to your requesting healthcare provider.
