Initial work-up

• Electrolytes
• Urea, creatinine
• Calcium, Magnesium Phosphorus
• FBE
• Urine analysis
• If proteinuria on dipstick, do spot protein/creatinine ratio.

Recommended pre-referral treatment

Please ensure you have

• Growth records
• Previous radiographic studies, including films and reports (US, VCUG)
• Previous laboratory test results

When to refer

• Refer if creatinine>normal for age
