Toilet training Workshop

  • A workshop for parents of children who are wanting to start toilet training or for families that may have hit some hurdles in the toilet training process.

    In this workshop families will here information about the steps involved in achieving success with toileting:

    • Toilet training readiness 
    • Toilet familiarisation 
    • Sitting on the toilet
    • Toilet talk 
    • Keeping a record 
    • Toilet timing 
    • Toilet training 

    Families will learn about the use and benefits of visuals/visual supports to assist their child in toilet training. 

    The information is based on the One Step At A Time program by Continence Foundation of Australia.

    Families will leave with an individualised plan for their child that has been tailored to their child’s level and skills. Families will also have access to touch base with an Occupational Therapist for follow up after the workshop. 

    Eligibility:

    RCH ECIS will accept NDIS and private paying families. Please note we have no capacity for families to claim through Medicare or their private health insurance.
