The inpatient building (North Building) is made up of nine wards
across five levels, with each ward taking on the name of an Australian animal or plant that relates to the way-finding theme of that
wards are located in the East Building, separate to the inpatient
All inpatient wards share many features. Each level of the inpatient building
(North Building) features a central waiting area, breastfeeding and
baby-change rooms, personal care suite and toilets and a parent
lounge containing kitchen facilities.
However, as each ward serves a particular medical
speciality, some features and procedures on individual
wards may vary slightly.
