The RCH Simulation Train the Trainer Program

  • Simulation Train the Trainer Program (2024)

    The Royal Children's Hospital Simulation Train the Trainer program is a core component of training to become a simulation facilitator or educator.

    This two-day course runs from 08:00-17:00 each day and introduces participants to the essentials required to develop a simulation program or session, including simulation theory, content, setting up a safe educational environment, design and development of simulation scenarios, in addition to varied methods of debriefing. 

    PLEASE NOTE: This session may be run Virtually or In Person, depending on COVID-19 restrictions at the time.

    March 18th and 19th 2024
    May 27th and 28th 2024
    September 2nd and 3rd 2024
    November 11th and 12th, 2024

    Fees

    RCH Nursing/Allied Health$220
    RCH Medical - $300
    External Nursing/Allied Health - $500
    External Medical - $700
    *All bookings are plus GST and booking fees.
    Payment can be made with Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

    Fees include lunch and tea & coffee on both days.

    Future Programs 

    The RCH Simulation Team is aiming to provide a refresher debriefing course for participants who have completed the Simulation Train the Train Program and are looking to advance their skills in debriefing.  Timing of this course will be dependent on COVID restrictions in the coming year.
