Gary R. Nattrass
Gary Nattrass is a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in hip disorders, spinal deformity, neuromuscular disorders (including cerebral palsy) as well as general paediatric orthopaedics.
Gary is originally from Canada where he received his M.D. from the University of Alberta and then after six years in family practice in California returned to undertake his orthopaedic surgery training (FRCSC) at the University of Calgary. He then did
Fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and The Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children (UCLA affiliate) in Los Angeles before returning to Melbourne where he has been on the staff at RCH since 1995.
Gary is a current member of our Royal Children's Hospital Scoliosis team and is a past President of the
Australian Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (APOS). He has a keen interest in Orthopaedic education and is the past - Chairman of the Victorian/Tasmanian Regional Training Committee of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He has undertaken voluntary overseas work with children in Papua New
Guinea and China.
