COCOON BabyChat allows you to video call with your baby and the health care team if you are unable to be present at your baby’s bedside.

Request a BabyChat appointment with your bedside nurse. Once a time and date is set, call the bedside 5 minutes before the BabyChat appointment to ensure it can still go ahead. Sometimes situations out of our control will require us to reschedule. 

Instructions for using COCOON BabyChat

1. You will need a computer, tablet or smart phone with microphone and camera access. 
2. Go to rch.org.au/telehealth using Google Chrome or Safari (apple devices) web browsers on your device. 
3. Fill in your name, phone number and your baby’s RCH UR number (ask your baby’s nurse for this if you don’t know it).
4. Accept the ‘Terms of Use’.
5. Click ‘Continue’. You will join a private, virtual waiting room.
6. Your baby’s nurse or other healthcare worker will start the call, which will allow you to join.
