Alongside its research and clinical roles, the Centre works with
government, communities and early childhood services to help
evaluate and strengthen their programmes for families and
There is growing evidence that today's services need to be
reconfigured if we are to achieve better outcomes for young
children. The CCCH Service Development team facilitates this by
promoting the establishment of community partnership groups that
involve services and community members to develop tailored
strategies that help local services work together to optimise the
outcomes for children and their families.
Community-based services are under increasing pressure to
demonstrate the effectiveness of the programs they provide to
improve child and family outcomes. The CCCH's Community Resourcing
team has widespread experience evaluating programs, services and
systems to help determine what works and what doesn't, and to
assist in planning the future of early childhood programs.
