    Dr Melinda Barker

    Dr Melinda Barker is a clinical neuropsychologist who commenced with The Royal Children’s Hospital, Centre for Community Child Health in 1995. She was instrumental in the administration and evaluation of the original Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP), which has been running since 1992.

    Since then, Melinda has worked on a variety of projects and programs relating to children’s health, learning and development. In 2003, Melinda was the Program Coordinator for VicNIC, a pre-discharge hearing screening program for neonates in intensive care. In 2005, the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program was expanded and now involves newborn hearing screening in all Victorian maternity hospitals.
