    Your First Four Weeks

We know that your first few months in a new position and organisation can be daunting, so we have outlined your first 4 weeks of on-boarding activities at the RCH. This will help to orientate yourself with your surroundings and ensure you are familiar with your conditions of employment.

    Week

    Description

Day 1 Your Manager/Supervisor will formally orientate you within your department and hospital premises via the formal New Employee Induction Checklist.
    Week 1 to 4
    New Employee Induction Program

This is a fully supported program that will provide you the opportunity to meet the CEO, meet and network with fellow colleagues and RCH service providers  amongst other vital hands-on training and information that will have you up and running.

    Week 1 to 4
    RCH Compliance Suite

As part of your responsibility to comply with mandatory training, you will be assigned RCH compliance training in your first week. During the course of your first 12 months you will be assigned online training around Emergency Response Training, OH&S In The Office, Workplace Bullying & Harassment Prevention and Hand Hygiene.

    Week 4 to 12
    Probation Plan
It is important for you and your manager to sit down and provide each other with feedback within the first month of your employment. Early conversations like these eliminate any stressful or unreasonable thoughts that you may have about the organisation and/or your role specifically.
