The Allied Health and Nursing Education Outreach Program offers tailored education and training to regional health sites based on their identified learning and professional development needs. Since its inception in 2017, the Program has delivered education to over 100 health sites and over 1200 participants covering the state of Victoria and Tasmania. We also offer video-conferencing/webinars and currently have Allied Health webinars running on a monthly basis.
The expansion of the Program has seen new team members become a part of this exciting initiative, including Virginia Beckerman (Nurse Educator), Sarah Temby (Allied Health Educator), Tania Ramos (Peri-operative Nurse Educator) and Nicole Herbert (Administrator). The team is led by Helen Codman, Program Manager and Deputy Director of Nursing Education.
The program uses blended learning approaches in delivering innovative and engaging education to develop participants' skills and knowledge in paediatric healthcare. Our program aims to:
We welcome inquiries from healthcare providers who have clinical, or other, education requirements for their allied health, nursing and/or interprofessional teams. Enquiries are welcome from all services, irrespective of size or location in Victoria.
