External Laboratories: All samples must be spun, the serum separated, and frozen at –70 °C. Transport frozen samples to Andrology on dry ice during business hours.

Specimen Reception Staff Instructions:

For External Samples

• Register the sample under the TAN test code.
• Store sample in the Andrology container in the -70 °C CSR freezer. 

• Send the serum frozen to the Andrology Lab on dry ice with the next courier.

For Internal Samples

• Register the sample using the EPIC/EMR order number, then add the TAN test code for tracking.
• Spin, separate serum and store in the Andrology container in the -70 °C CSR freezer. 
• Send the serum frozen to the Andrology Lab on dry ice with the next courier.
