EDTA Whole Blood

Samples must be received by RCH Specimen Reception by 10:00am weekdays and 9:00am weekends and public holidays.

Nursing and Medical staff are asked not to call the Alfred Hospital directly. Please contact Biochemistry on ext 56278 for result if unavailable in the EMR

Lab NOTE:

Sample must reach referal lab by 1:00pm (Monday-Friday), the courier pickup time is 11:00am.  Sample must reach referal lab by 11:00am (Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays), the courier pickup time is 10:00am.

Urgent samples may require an extra courier to be book.

DAILY - ALL Results will be made available by the Alfred after 7pm.
