Serum-Gel

Testosterone and Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) are assayed at 0hr and 72hrs post stimulation.

Doctor Notes:

1. Please create a referral to outpatient Nurse Led Clinic (NLC) for bookings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. 
2. Please provide a script to Pharmacy (H-CAM) prior to their appointment date for Nursing staff to collect.
3. Please also place an order for dose administration in the patient’s MAR.
4. Patient blood collections will occur at A6 Pathology Collection for 0hrs and 72hr collections.
   
   Note: This test is unavailable on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
   

LAB NOTES:

Spin, aliquot serum and freeze at -80°C.  Clearly label both sample & cover letter as 0hr or 72hrs post stimulation.

Send to testing laboratory on dry ice. Do not pack dry ice in a sealed container.  Use appropriate PPE.
