Must be venous or arterial collection, NOT capillary

Must arrive in laboratory within 1 hr of collection.

MEDICAL NOTES:
If patient is on Emicizumab therapy, request Emicizumab Factor VIII Inhibitor 
This assay MUST NOT be used for Haemophilia A patients on Emicizumab therapy.  Emicizumab interferes with APTT and one-stage Factor assays and may result in a falsely low inhibitor level.
