CPE/ESBL/IBL/VRE screening – Stool specimen (preferred for CPE screening) or Rectal swab

MRSA screening – Nose/Axilla/Groin Swab. 1 swab for 3 sites starting at the nose, axilla and groin.

Candida auris screening – Bilateral Axilla AND Groin Swab. 1 swab for 2 sites starting at the axilla and then groin.

LAB NOTES 

Allocate ONE laboratory number for up 2 screening procedures e.g. ESBL and/or VRE screening on “Screen”, CPE screening on “Screen2” OR MRSA screening on (combined) Nose/Axilla/Groin on “Screen”.
