Serum-Gel

Specimen reception staff:

Freeze TWO serum aliquots and place in Immunology’s frozen samples box in the CSR freezer.

Immunology Staff:

Store frozen aliquots in immunology send away box. Send samples for testing ONLY if Acetyl Choline Receptor antibodies test has been performed AND the result is NEGATIVE. If sending is required, forward one frozen aliquot to Specimen Reception Sendaway staff. 

Specimen Reception Sendaway staff:

Samples to be dispatched monthly to the referral laboratory. Send frozen aliquots with an ice pack via ambient overseas freight (ice pack and specimen can thaw in transit).

Fortnightly (batched and sent to Oxford monthly)
