NHS-Aus Mailing list

Welcome to NHS-Aus

NHS-Aus is an e-mail network for professionals in Australia who are involved with clinical or administrative components regarding the detection, diagnosis and intervention of congenital hearing impairment in children.

What is the purpose of NHS-Aus?

To provide an efficient communication system to share information related to provision of services relating to detection, diagnosis and early intervention for children with a congenital sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL).

This may include information on:

  • setting up & evaluation of services, systems or programs
  • evaluation of programs and services
  • best practice in screening and diagnosis
  • research
  • resources
  • equipment
  • professional education opportunities
  • genetic and aetiological evaluation
  • provision of early intervention services

Who can join NHS-Aus?

Any person who is involved professionally with the provision of screening, diagnostic, ongoing health care or intervention services for infants and young children with SNHL. Membership to the group is moderated. This means that while people can subscribe themselves, their actual membership is subject to approval by the group's administrator. This is to ensure the privacy of discussions - those outside the group (such as the general public) cannot access them.

How do I subscribe?

If you would like to join NHA-Aus simply send an email to join-nhs-aus@lyris.wch.org.au stating your name and contact details and describing your involvement with infant hearing screening and early detection.  You will receive a reply within a few days.

How do I unsubscribe?

If you no longer wish to receive e-mails from NHS-Aus, unsubscribe by sending an email to leave-nhs-aus@lyris.wch.org.au

User guidelines

Once you are a member of NHS-Aus you can post a question or issue by simply sending mail to nhs-aus@lyris.wch.org.au

To reply to a question or issue you will simply reply to a message sent to you via the mailing list. By default your reply will only go to the sender.

If you would like your response to go to the whole group, address your email to the group address above.  Please make sure you include the same subject heading so recipients can identify your response as being part of the same discussion thread.

If you are having problems with the system you will need to email adam.leadoux@rch.org.au

It is expected that NHS-Aus users will be professional at all times.
