About Melbourne Children's Sleep Unit

The service offers comprehensive diagnosis and management of all sleep disorders in children from infancy through to 18 years of age.

The Melbourne Children’s Sleep Unit is an initiative of Southern Health and and Monash University, and is located at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.

The sleep unit is staffed by consultant paediatricians, sleep scientists and nurses experienced in the diagnosis and management of paediatric sleep disorders.  The sleep unit operates 5 nights a week and performs over 950 sleep studies annually.  In addition the sleep unit offers a home oximetry service as well as an extensive non-invasive ventilation service.  

The Adamson Sleep Centre is a four bed paediatric sleep centre which provides services for Victoria and Tasmania.  It is located on the fifth floor at Monash Medical Centre.

  • Circadian Rhythm Disorders
  • Narcolepsy
    • Excessive daytime sleepiness
