Rosella – Intensive Care

About Rosella - Intensive Care

Your child would be admitted to Rosella - Intensive Care because care and treatment is required that is not available in the general inpatient areas. This care is provided by the Paediatric Intensive Care team which consists of the duty consultant, registrars (experienced doctors), nurses and technologists. Ward clerks and patient services assistants also contribute to the care of your child and the smooth running of the unit.

Rosella administers the state wide Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (PETS) and provides Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS).

Families and carers are encouraged to access our Family Resource and Respite Centre, our Interpreter serviceSocial Work department and Pastoral Care.

Parents and guardians may visit any time, other visitors 8am-8pm with parental permission only.
