Victorian Public Healthcare Awards 2009
The Public Affairs Department advises on issues management, provides strategic counsel to staff, manages relationships with the media through timely and responsive communication, and ensures the smooth flow of accurate information between the Royal Children’s Hospital and its internal and external audiences.The department promotes the hospital and its internationally recognised advocacy role around children’s health matters.

The Public Affairs Department-

  • Liaises with the Department of Human Services as issues arise
  • Ensures that the corporate brand of the hospital and its reputation are clearly defined, protected and promoted.
  • Generates media coverage.
  • Responds to media enquiries.
  • Advises on event management.
  • Promotes various hospital initiatives.
  • Edits publications generated within the hospital.
