This short train-the-trainer course was conducted by Australian nurse educators for nurses at a number of locations in India over several years. The course covered general paediatric nursing with an emphasis on intensive care nursing. The project aimed to provide the basis of sustainable training programs at the various instutitions, to empower, to recognise prior knowledge and utilise new skills and knowledge, and to provide a foundation of paediatric nursing education in recognition of the sick child that can be adapted and implemented in all areas of paediatric speciality.
