The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne Auxiliaries
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne is one of the world's great children's hospitals and enjoys community support that surpasses all expectations.
The RCH Auxiliaries form an integral part of the heart of this community support.
Established more than 80 years ago to raise much needed funds for our hospital, our Auxiliaries have grown now to 75 groups, with more than 1,500 members from all over Victoria.
Today, the groups are diverse in both age and approach, held together by a common thread of helping the children at our hospital, while creating friendships, relationships and networking opportunities along the way.
As the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria, RCH provides outstanding care for children around Australia and internationally. We lead in paediatric clinical care as well as training and research with our partners Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the University of Melbourne.
At the RCH, we are entering an exciting stage in our history with the Victorian Government building a brand new hospital, right next door to our current site in Parkville. When the New RCH opens in 2011, it will provide wonderful, world class facilities for patients, families and staff.
The RCH Auxiliaries continues to support the hospital as we take the next step into our future, raising much needed additional funds for equipment, research, specific department initiatives or medical conditions.
There are so many ways to become involved in RCH Auxiliaries- by joining one that already exists or starting one of your own. Involvement can be as simple as enjoying great time with friends and colleagues at events or one of the many other fundraisers run throughout the year.
