The Royal Children's Hospital has a heritage that is unique and iconic in Victoria if not Australia for what has been achieved by its members over the past 83 years.
From the days of Miss Mary Guthrie who joined the hospital committee in 1894 and remained a member uintil her death in 1931 and became one of the mainstays of the Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliary movement.
From our humble beginnings in 1922 Auxiliaries has flourished through ward and changing society attitudes to be a very precious jewel in the crown of the Royal Children's Hospital.
From our founding members onwards, each generation has contributed to the success of our beloved hospital. Where would we be today if not for them, these people who have a tradition of giving and dedication.
As part of our efforts to honour people who have devoted their themselves to their Auxiliary we are extremely proud to launch the "Living Treasures" Honorary Auxiliary.
We will be inducting Auxiliary members who have made an exceptional contribution to ensure that Auxiliaries has flourished to become the highly respected and valued institution that it is today, and that the future of Auxiliaries is vibrant.
