Awards

The Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliaries always take into great consideration and appreciation the work undertaken by the many people associated with Auxiliaries.

Auxiliary members devote their time, energy and compassion into raising vital funds to advance the care of sick children at the hospital.

The various awards have been created to recognise and thank these wonderful people for the outstanding services they have offered the hospital over the years.

Living Treasures

Living Treasures is an Honorary Auxiliary that members are inducted into each year. The award was introduced in 2004 and consisted of over 40 outstanding Living Treasures. Here you will find a complete listing of the Treasures and their stories.

Madge Tate Service Award

The Madge Tate Service Award recipients are those who have made an outstanding contribution to Auxiliaries throughout the year. This award first began in 1994 and is an honor to receive.

Long Service Awards

Long Service awards are given out in 5 year increments. Auxiliary members will receive their first award after 5 years of service. Thelma Hudson is the outstanding Auxiliary member who has been awarded the 70 year Long Service Award.

Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.
