We are pleased to report that we have raised a further $67,625 for Cystic Fibrosis research so far this year.
Better still, we plan to more than double that amount during the remainder of 2007. We can say that with confidence because of the unique nature of our Auxiliary- our members work on fundraising every working day of their lives. Every member of our team is a self-employed franchisee of the Lifetime Distributors Vic group- or, as they are more generally known 'the Book People'.
For every book sold, each franchisee donates five cents with Lifetime Distributors matching that amount. It's a system that works well and has enabled us to raise more than $320,000 for Cystic Fibrosis research during the past two years.
Most of us have, or know someone who has good reasons to be thankful for the wonderful work the hospital does in treating sick and injured children. But it's also nice to be reminded that our fundraising efforts do help make a difference.
It made everyone of our members proud to be part of the hospital's team of Auxiliaries all working towards the same goal of 'making sick kids better'.
