The aRCHers auxiliary has had another wonderful year.
Our Art Exhibition entitled “Brush Strokes for Infant Strokes” held at Manyung Gallery in Mount Eliza proved to be a most successful event. We raised in excess of $35,000 to support the tireless research of Dr Mark McKay into the perplexing topic of Strokes in Children. Many people contributed to the success of this Art Exhibition. My regular team consisting of Melissa Salter, Kathryn & Madeline Haynes, Jane Nolan & Rachel Crane were capably assisted by the Charlie’s Angels Auxiliary in ensuring the success of the event. Michael Hornsby, our auctioneer & Vince Sorrenti, our fabulously funny guest entertainer were extremely generous in donating their time & talents to support the function.
Bob Pocock from Medway Press has also once again been extremely charitable in donating the printing associated with all the promotional brochures & material for the Art Exhibition. Our Paddy’s Day & St Andrew’s day market stalls were once again very successful thanks to Routley Bakeries who continue to donate their delicious scones for consumption at both events.
In closing, I would like to express our utmost appreciation to the Auxiliary office for their superb assistance & support throughout the year. Sue, Rose, Ellie, Stacey & Laura are a highly committed support team who make every endeavour to assist us with our fund raising efforts.
