Charli's Angels is an auxiliary based in Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula. In fact it is the only Auxiliary on the Peninsula. The Auxiliary was formed with the purpose of raising funds to support the "Live Music in Hospitals" Foundation. Monies raised are used to support music therapists and musicians who entertain and comfort children waiting for procedures or to relieve the boredom of a long hospital stay.
Another year of fun and excitement for Charli’s Angels raised some much needed funds for the hospital and the special little people who visit this fantastic institution. We must thank our regular bag sellers Flourish Café, Lotus Chiropractic, Stephanie’s Fine Foods and Aum Stanti for their ongoing support. For the first time we supported the Christmas Gift Wrapping Stall run by House in Mornington. As a result we have gained some new members who have added some fresh ideas to our group. The Spring Racing Carnival is always an exciting time and we were fortunate enough to support Hush, Music for Sick Kids selling pins at the Caulfield Cup raising money for music therapy.
A new event for us this year is a trade night. We are bringing together products from friends and members as an acknowledgement of their support as well as a fundraiser for Charli’s Angels. I’m pleased to say that we paid for the relocation of the administration desk in the outpatients department of the 6th floor. This has brought the staff in closer contact with the parents and carers of the children attending the clinic. Charli’s Angels is continually supported by people and small businesses on the
