Parkville

  • Founded 1946
  • President: Peggy Mathison
  • Secretary: Jill Harrison

Although their numbers have diminished, they do what they can to support the hospital and the Occupational Therapy Department. This group raises money through selling goods at stalls, and raffles.

Annual Report

We continue to work in the Gift Shop as our main way of fund raising. We have also manned stalls at the hospital and in the community and have had success in selling bags through contacts in both the country and city. We have been glad to welcome a new member to our ranks this year following a successful afternoon tea and sale of Auxiliaries merchandise. Sue Manson presented long service badges to Margaret Gamble, 20 years; Thelma Johns, 20 years; Jill Harrison, 10 years; Peggy Mathison, 5 years and Bev Noonan, 5 years.

We are pleased to continue our support of the Occupational Therapy Department and have been delighted to be able to fund a Research Assistant for six months and provide, among other things, a Miller Function and Participation Scales Assessment. We are always looking for new ways of fundraising and work continues to this end.
