The Pankina Story

Pankina Aux2

Pankina members enjoy their monthly market at the hospital, meeting the children and parents, as well as selling goods such as their doll's clothes. Other fundraising activities have included a Game Day, Rawleighs demonstration, a trip to the Lavender Farm, Aussie Wool quilts, Piano Cheese Factory and Strawberry Farm and 'Cuppa for Kids'. The Pankina ladies hold a stall in the hospital foyer every fourth Thursday selling baby jackets, booties, jumpers, scarves, nut loaves, fruit cakes, jams and pickles. Recent purchases include chairs and two operating tables.

Annual Report

We are still holding our stalls each month and doing well, thanks to all the ladies that make the jams, cakes, knitting and sewing. Thanks to the Werribee ladies that hold a sewing bee every Tuesday and keep coming up with new ideas. The dolls clothes and footy novelties are very popular. Our thanks go to the ladies that regularly staff the stalls. Our Cuppa For Kids day is always very successful. We were able to purchase two operating tables over 2007-2008. We don’t have as many outings anymore, as we are all getting older with aches and pains. Its with great sadness that we report the passing of two of our long time members; Mrs Nanette Smart and Mrs Loraine Osborn, both ladies worked very hard for Pankina Auxiliary.
