Another long-lasting supporter which continues to run and participate in many fundraising activities. Their efforts have funded the purchase of a Paediatric Sleep Laboratory, and contributed to providing music therapy for the Liver Transplant Unit.
Another year has passed in the life of Caulfield Auxiliary and today we celebrate our 76th Annual General Meeting.
Our fundraising this year included a successful solo card luncheon, where we were supported, where we were supported by many regular friends, who we sincerely thank. A sad decision was made at our final meeting for the year, to discontinue this luncheon, which over the years has been our mainstay of fundraising, and also our outreach into friends, family and the community.
This year we missed out on a couple of meetings but the remainder were well attended and busy with talk and filling dolls for the hospital.
We were well represented at the 85th AGM of the Hospital Auxiliaries and interested to learn of the work of the cochlear transplant department and personal story of a Father whose son had a double transplant. Our September meeting was very special, taking place at the home of Olive Swift to celebrate Olives 90th birthday, a lovely day was had by all. At this special time two Living Treasures Awards were presented to Olive Swift and Jean Patience. Well done!
All these functions would not be possible without the help from all members of the Auxiliary Co-Operating together, special friends and family; a big thank you to all who gave their time and talents.
