Founded 1951This Auxiliary group was originally established by children who lived in Caroline Street, Aberfeldie. They called themselves the Caroline Children's Club and organised some very creative fundraisers. Eventually this auxiliary was taken over by their parents and called the Caroline Auxiliary. Today the group raise funds for the hospital through luncheons and fashion parades; plant, floral and jewellery demonstrations; raffles and various stalls. Funds raised support the hospital's Wish List.
Our Auxiliary is now in its fifty seventh year and since our last report our group of enthusiastic members have been working diligently to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital. In September last, we held a fashion parade and luncheon, which was most successfully supported by our members and their friends. We have manned stalls in at the hospital, continued to sell Tote Bags and other merchandise, sold Christmas cards at the Essendon Combined Charities Card Shop and conducted a Christmas Raffle selling tickets in out local supermarkets.
Without the endless support of Sue, Rose and all the girls in the Auxiliaries Office, we would not be able to continue our endeavours. A big Thankyou to all our friends for their unwavering support. Last, but not least, special thanks to all our dedicated members, especially those who tirelessly work in the Auxiliaries Gift Shop.
