The Clinical Services Directory is aimed at providing general
practitioners with a concise yet comprehensive guide to assist in arranging
outpatient appointments and accessing clinical services at the Royal Children's
Hospital. The printed directory has been sent to most doctors throughout
Victoria. If there is information in this directory which is inaccurate, or if
there are additional features which you would like to see, or if you would like
further information, please contact
Ms Cathie Nolan
(Manager, Outpatient Services). The complete directory is also available in
Adobe Acrobat format (you may need to get the free
Adobe
Acrobat reader if it is not already available on your computer). Useful Numbers

Outpatient AppointmentsAll appointment enquiries can be taken at the Outpatient Appointments Office (9345 6180). Referrals may be made in person, by letter, fax, or telephone. Urgent requests may be discussed with the Outpatient Services Manager (Cathie Nolan 9345 5689). We do not routinely inform GPs that a referral has been received, but the clinic doctor will write to you when the patient is first seen. You can telephone to check if a referral has been received and the date of the appointment. Alternatively you can request to be notified of the appointment details in your referral letter. Most patients referred are first assessed in the paediatric clinics. This speeds the initial appointment and allows best use of sub-specialist department clinics. Not sure which clinic to refer to? We will ensure your patient is triaged to the best clinic to ensure an early appointment and the best service. If you know the patient's UR number, it greatly assists us if you include it in any correspondence. RCH Interpreter & NESB Services24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 81 languages including
