Service Redesign
The role of the Service Redesign Team is to work together with hospital staff to improve current processes in order to provide a better healthcare experience for patients, families and staff in a way that complements plans for the new hospital.
Functions
Our team facilitates projects and working groups to

Improve systems and processes to provide safer and more timely healthcare for patients

Work with staff to make work processes easier and safer

Provide education for staff in process improvement methodologies, project management and program evaluation

Help staff who provide RCH services to better understand the current way we do things and help identify ways to better meet the needs of our patients and families

To manage the project activities required to change current processes, using recognised project management methodologies and bringing together those who contribute parts of the solution, ensuring successful outcomes for patients, families, staff and other RCH stakeholders

perform data analysis to develop plans and strategies based on evidence and fact rather than anecdotal information

Identify the impact of change on people, processes, systems to determine a practical and safe way to transition to the new hospital

Engage with key stakeholders by consulting different groups of people including staff, state government, patients and families to ensure all those impacted are engaged at the right time, in the right way by the right people
