Our services

Quality and Improvement ensures governance and leadership in quality and safety. Support consumer engagement & involvement in RCH activities. Improve consumer access to information: supporting and enabling patients and their carers to freely access health information relevant to their care and to comment on that care. Support evidence-based practice clinical improvement and innovation. Clinical management: supporting staff to manage and learn from adverse event, incidents and complaints issues related to care. Support the building of collaborative partnerships between consumers, community healthcare providers and the RCH.

Quality and Improvement includes 4 Streams: 
Partnerships

The responsibility of the Partnerships stream is

  1. to facilitate effective Partnerships and linkages with community healthcare providers and consumers and
  2. ensure provision of care is respectful of, responsive to and guided by the needs and values of patients and families. 
Efficiency & Information 

The responsibility of the Efficiency and Information stream is

  1. to ensure the integration of evidence based practice
  2. to administer and oversee policies, procedures and guidelines and
  3. to facilitate and coordinate accreditation
Service Redesign The role of the Service Redesign Team is to work together with hospital staff to improve current processes in order to provide a better healthcare experience for patients, families and staff in a way that complements plans for the new hospital. 
Safety & Risk

The role of the Safety and Risk Stream is to work with the hospital staff and families in order to provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors by minimising risk and harm.
