Research - Child Psychotherapy

The Department of Child Psychotherapy is actively interested and involved in research to maximise our understanding of child and adolescent emotional disorders and enhance the efficacy of our therapeutic interventions.

Research within the Department of Child Psychotherapy is currently coordinated by Lynne Allison, Child Psychotherapist. At present the Department is involved in the development of a number of research projects. These include:

  • Is the premise "in the best interests of the child" ethically defensible in surgical interventions in children born with intersex disorders? Part of a "Theme Research" project into the management of intersex disorders funded through The Murdoch Institute.
