Paediatric Trauma Seminars
These full day seminars are a key development in the implementation of the Victorian State Trauma System and are aimed at exposing nursing, medical and paramedical practitioners to the skills required in the practical management of the Victorian paediatric trauma population. The intention being to improve the knowledge base and skill competency of trauma and emergency personnel responsible for the delivery of care to the paediatric trauma patient. This is a hands-on experience through the use of lectures, skill stations and scenarios.
In regional Victoria, our highly skilled paediatric nursing and medical experts will come to your region and conduct these training seminars. The seminars can be run with up to 24 participants per seminar. The primary focus will be on the initial assessment and management of the paediatric trauma patient and practical life sustaining procedures.
The seminars are designed to compliment the Paediatric Trauma Manual and consist of:

Paediatric Trauma Nursing Seminars
This course will commence in 2009 and is aimed at exposing nursing practitioners to the skills required for the practical management of paediatric trauma.
This is a full day seminar aimed at nursing, or paramedical staff to enhance skill and knowledge base relating to paediatric trauma.
This program is conducted with expert nursing staff from the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department and Trauma Service here at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne. Our staff are committed to education and will come to your region to conduct this seminar.
