2007 OARA Golf Classicᅠ Box Hill Golf Club

Friday September 21, 2007

The Oesophageal Atresia Research Auxiliary ( OARA ) of the Royal Children’s Hospital invites players, sponsors, and donors to support the 16th Annual OARA Golf Classic at Box Hill Golf Club on Friday September 21, 2007.

Oesophageal atresia is a congenital obstruction in the oesophagus of newborn babies. In Victoria, between 15 -20 babies are born with this condition each year.

OARA, an Auxiliary of the Royal Children’s Hospital, is an active group of parents of children with oesophageal atresia that raise funds to finance research into the cause and treatment of this condition, and provide support services to patients and their families.

The OARA Golf Classic is the major fundraising activity of the Auxiliary, and a field of around 100 players participate in the event each year. It is supported by sponsors and donors who contribute funds and gifts to ensure that the day is profitable for OARA and enjoyable for all. The golf tournament is followed by an excellent luncheon with guest speaker, a raffle, and the awarding of prizes.
