Childrens Nutrition Consultants

A dietetic paediatric practice is operated by the Royal Children's Hospital Department of Nutrition and Food Services.  The practice is called Melbourne Children's Clinic and it operates in Camberwell on various days and times including some evenings and weekends.                           Phone (03) 9813 5700.


All staff are Accredited Practising Dietitians.

Specialising in :

  • Adolescent nutrition including eating disorders
  • Weight Management
  • Failure to thrive
  • Food intolerance/allergy
  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • General infant and children's nutrition  

Guidelines for referral

  • Weight >97th or <3rd percentiles
  • Height/weight discrepancy of two or more standard deviations
  • Growth or weight change crossing percentile lines
  • Dietary exclusion of one or more major foods (e.g. milk, wheat)
  • Chronic illness and or food refusal

Fee structure

Fees for services are available upon request.

The clinic supports Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plans from General Practitioner's.

Rebates may be possible if the family is covered by Private Health Insurance "EXTRAS"
