Avril McLean: Nurse Educator

Avril has been a Nurse Educator with NETS Education since June, 1993. Avril is a midwife, a neonatal nurse and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Adult Education and Training.  Avril co-ordinates the Outreach Education programs in both metropolitan and country Victoria at the invitation of host hospitals and the Continuing Education Program in Newborn Nursing Care. She also works part time in the Intensive and Special Care Nurseries at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.

Rosemarie Boland: Nurse Educator

Rose joined NETS Education in September 2000. Rose is a midwife and holds a Master of Nursing (Neonatal) from the University of Technology, Sydney. After working in neonatal intensive care units in Sydney and London, Rose joined NETS in 1998 as a neonatal transport nurse. From 2000 to 2005, Rose co-ordinated the Distance Education Program in Emergency and Special Care of the Newborn. Rose is currently working as a Nurse Educator with both NETS Education and NETS transport.

Robyn Smith: Nurse Educator

Robyn joined the NETS Education team in March, 2008. Robyn is a midwife, a neonatal nurse and holds a Bachelor of Health-Science Nursing. Robyn has extensive experience in the care of the surgical neonate, having spent the past seventeen years employed in various roles on the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Robyn also undertook the shared role of NETS Team Leader for a period of seven months from October 2008 until April 2009.

Jacquie Whitelaw: Nurse Educator

Jacquie joined the NETS Education team in December 2008. In addition to her post graduate nursing qualification in Paediatric Intensive Care, Jacquie also holds a Bachelor of Education. Jacquie has extensive neonatal and paediatric intensive care experience, having been employed at the Royal Children's Hospital since 1994; most recently as the Clinical Nurse Educator in the Neonatal Unit for the past nine years. In addition to her five days per fortnight with NETS Education, Jacquie continues to work in the Neonatal Unit at RCH on a part time basis.

Loni Meiksans: Administrative Officer

Loni has been working with the Newborn Emergency Transport Service since February, 1990. She manages all the administrative and secretarial work for NETS Education. Loni also works as an administrative officer for the NETS Return Transport Service, where her duties primarily involve database entry (including hospital information, return transfers, monthly billing) and relieving the transport administrative officer during leave periods.
