Newborn Intensive Care Unit staff have a strong commitment to research as a means of improving outcomes for our patients and their families. Several multidisciplinary research teams work within the unit studying a wide variety of topics including neonatal neurology, high frequency ventilation, end-of-life care, Pierre-Robin sequence, central venous access devices and pain management.
Unit staff participate in several studies in collaboration with other departments within the hospital and with other neonatal units.
